Chelsea Registry Office Intimate Wedding

This blog is all about an intimate wedding in Chelsea, London. I met R & I back in 2019 at Olympia’s National Wedding Show where they booked me to photograph their Nikah Ceremony in London, UK. We had a wonderful time and so I was thrilled when they got back in touch to ask me to photograph their Civil Ceremony the following year.

R & I held their intimate wedding ceremony at the stunning Kensington and Chelsea Registry Office in August 2020. The weather was a little dull for an August Wedding, but everything else was far from it. They both looked so glamorous and elegant and R’s bouquet was totally beautiful. R wore a gorgeous full length, white, skimming gown with romantic lace detail and I wore a very handsome white tuxedo with black tuxedo trousers.

We met outside of St Luke’s and Christs Church where we had our portrait session on the grounds and in St Luke’s Gardens next to the church. The Gardens were quaint but had some beautiful roses within. After the portraits, we headed to the registry office for the ceremony. Due to the ceremony taking place during the Corona Virus Pandemic, guest numbers were limited, restrictions were in place and masks were to be worn. But this did not affect the atmosphere in the room, which was joyful and romantic. Once the ‘I dos’ were complete, we headed down the famous steps of the Chelsea Registry Office with those icon big blue doors behind us and R & I had their confetti exit.

It was then a short walk to the elegant Stanley’s, bar and restaurant, which had the most stunning white floral arch upon our entrance. The outdoor décor with its elegant and atmospheric lighting and white artificial floral vines under the canopies were beautiful. From here I captured some candid images and some detail shots before leaving the newlyweds to enjoy their evening.
