I absolutely loved photographing Lisa and Leigh’s Wedding at Coltsfoot Country Retreat in Hertfordshire. Lisa found me on Hitched and I was beyond excited when she said they were getting married at Coltsfoot Country Retreat. Despite some postponements due to covid, I was still lucky enough to capture their wedding day.
Coltsfoot is set in the beautiful rural Hertfordshire Countryside, and being a huge county girl, driving there was a joy. The beautiful scenery really set the tone of the day.
Bridal Preparations
We started with bridal preparations at Lisa and Leighs home, which was super fun. I love the excitement of the bridal party and the coming and going of family members, dropping things off and making sure everything is ready for the big day. Watching emotions unfold as gifts are exchanged is a favourite part of bridal prep for me.
I was joined by Charlotte Butler Hair and Amanda Artistry who made the already beautiful bridal party Wedding ready. Lisa had decided to wait until she arrived at Coltsfoot to put on her stunning Ronald Joyce Dress, and she looked unbelievable. The wedding flowers, created by Michelle Harris, were full of peach, pink, white and green colours which complimented the bridesmaids dresses perfectly.
The Ceremony
The ceremony was held under Coltsfoots beautiful canopy, where the aisle was lined with flowers hanging from the chairs. The registrar conducting the ceremony was a wonderfully light hearted woman who seemed to put everyone at ease and encourage laughter.
The Portraits
Being a typical British summer it did rain on the day but there was a break in the weather to allow for some gorgeous portraits and some quiet time for Lisa and Leigh. The Love they have for one another is obvious and beautiful.
